Mr. Kul Bahadur Gurung (Kul) is the founder and CEO of Alliance Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. A 47 years dynamic tourism businessman is in the Nepalese tourism for last 30 years serving clients and customers from all over the world till today from the company established since 1992.

He started his tourism career as a trekking porter, kitchen helper, cook, trekking guide, tour guide, climbing guide and office General manager.  He is currently holding the position of Management Committee Member (MC member) of International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA) – www.theuiaa.org  from 2020 till 2024. He is the second man to reach in this position from Nepal ever in the UIAA’s 89 years of history. He is the immediate past General secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) https://www.nepalmoutnaineering.org which is the only one national Alpine club of Nepal. He is even the founder president of Ganesh Himal Tourism Development Committee-GHTDC – https://www.rubyvalleytreks.org, founder secretary of Climate Alliance OF Himalayan Communities-CAHC- https://www.cahc.org.np, Founder Secretary at National Tourism Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal (NEAT-Nepal), Founder President of Gurung tourism Entrepreneurs’ Association Nepal – GTEAN- https://www.gteanepal.org, Resource person for Trekking Guides Training at NATHM- https://nathm.gov.np, Past Vice President of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal(TAAN-  https:///.www.taan.org.np).

He has trekked more than 22 trekking regions in Nepal and successfully summited Island peak (6,189m/20423ft), Mera Peak (6,476m/21,370ft) and Yala Peak (5,500m/18,150ft). Visited nearly more than 30 countries and speaks English, Hindi, Nepali and average Japanese. He is the expert to sale Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and India tours. The company is awarded by more than 78 awards in the different field of tourism segment and Mr. Kul is well educated in the Nepalese travel trade having Degree in Business Management, Degree if Tourism and Bachelor in Law with currently  doing PhD in the hospitality of Mountain Tourism.
