Day 1 Kathmandu to Dhading Besi/Borang Village (1,750m/5,740ft), 8-9 hrs driving

Start your journey from Kathmandu at 7:00 AM by taking a local bus. After a 3-hour drive along the Prithvi Highway, you’ll reach Dhading Besi, the district headquarters. From there, switch to a local Jeep and head to Borang Village. Along the way, you’ll pass through scenic local villages, including Jumre Hill, Katunje Hill, Lapang Phedi, Kimtang Phedi, and Darkha Phedi. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes and mesmerizing views of the Ganesh Himal ranges before reaching Borang Village, where you’ll spend the night in a local house.

Day 2 Trek to Sertung Village (2,020m/6,626ft) – Chalish Village (1,750m/5,740ft),
5 hours walking

After breakfast, hike to Awoi village, then continue to Sertung Village. Sertung is the central point of the Ruby Valley Trek and only a 3-hour walk away. While lunch is being prepared, take a quick tour of Ghale Durbar, Phyanchyat Monastery, and the surrounding landscape. Later, trek downhill to Chalish village, a captivating place with a blend of Gurung and Dalit cultures. Spend the night in a local house.

Day 3 Trek to Hindung Village (2,550m/8,364ft), 5-6 hours walking

Day 5 Trek to Nujet Kharka (3,850m/12,628ft), 5-6 hours walking

After breakfast, trek uphill through dense jungle, enjoying mesmerizing landscapes. Expect a challenging, hairpin trail with breathtaking views and high-altitude hiking. Follow your guide’s lead and relish the experience. Lunch will be provided along the way, and you’ll spend the night in tents.

Day 6 Visit early morning to Dobra Danda (4,750m/15,580ft) and then trek down to
Thulo Odar. 7-8 hours walking

Wake up early, around 5:00 AM, and embark on a sunrise hike to Dobra Danda with your guide. Experience the breathtaking sunrise and take in the incredible surrounding landscapes, including Ganesh Himal I, II, III, IV, and the nearby Kalo and Seto Kunda. If you wish to visit Kalo and Seto Kunda, it will require an additional 2 hours (30 minutes downhill and 1.30 hours uphill). Return to your camp, have lunch, and then trek downhill to Thulo Odar. Day 7 Trek to Neber Village (2,750m/9.020ft), 6-7 hours walking

Trek to Hindung Village, have lunch, and then embark on a trek downhill for about an hour, followed by an hour of uphill walking. Your destination is Neber Village, where you’ll spend the night in either tents or a local house.

Day 8 Trek to Yak Kharka (3,250m/10,660ft). 5-6 hours walking

Day 13 Trek to Borang Village (1,750m/5.740ft), 6-7 hours walking

Descend to Khading Village and then trek onward to Lapa Village. Enjoy lunch and continue your journey to Borang Village. Today’s trek involves mostly downhill walking and about an hour of uphill hiking to reach Borang village. It may be a long day, but the picturesque villages, paddy terraces, and scenic landscapes will make it a beautiful experience. Spend the night in a local house or tents.

Day 14 Trek to Borang Village – Dhading Besi – Kathmandu by regular Jeep/Bus drive

After breakfast at 7:00 AM, take a local sharing Jeep to Dhading Besi, an 8-hour drive. Then, switch to another bus for the 3-hour journey back to Kathmandu (1,310m/4,297ft). You’ll arrange and cover the expenses for an overnight stay at a hotel.
